FBI said Friday it is reviewing new evidence in the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server. Multiple reports over the weekend noted FBI Director James Comey sent the letter notifying Congress of the email review over the objections of Justice Department officials. He has come under widespread attack from the Clinton camp and Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, who suggested on Sunday he may have violated the Hatch Act, which prevents use of federal government position to influence an election. FBI has reportedly secured a warrant to examine the 650K newly discovered emails, which were found on seized devices from Clinton advisor Huma Abedin and her husband, Anthony Weiner. However, WSJ said it will take weeks, at a minimum, to determine whether emails are related to time Abedin served with Clinton at State Department, how many are duplicates already reviewed by FBI, and whether they contain classified information or new evidence into Clinton email probe.
